• Time: Saturdays | 14:00 – 16:00

• Target Group: Open to everyone (women and men of all nationalities, ages, and languages). Students, graduates, employed or unemployed individuals, migrants, Swiss citizens, international students, persons with disabilities, and all others are welcome. Bachelor , MA or PHD students and the main target group for this project .

•  Afghans who live in Afghanistan especially Afghan women with any age can join us online through this project

• Format: Everyone can read their preferred book (or a section of it) and optionally share a short or detailed wrap-up with the group. If ten people each read a book and share their takeaways, everyone benefits from the insights of ten books! note : Academia are obligated to study law , economic , social science , international law and this kind of books . 

• Our Goal: Promoting a vibrant reading culture.

• Time: Tuesdays | 09:00 – 11:00

• Target Audience: University students, youth, researchers, and anyone passionate about international affairs and human rights.

• Afghan youth who live in Afghanistan especially Afghan women are very welcome to joint to this project via zoom 

• Topics Covered: Discussion of current human rights issues,  Council of Europe instruments and other international organizations , and the role of youth in peacebuilding and democracy . Topics will be selected in advance by the organizers and shared with participants.

• Format & Atmosphere: Interactive, argument-based discussions focused on mutual respect and active listening.

• Objectives: Empowering youth and students, promoting a culture of mutual acceptance, and strengthening oral argumentation and public speaking skills.

• Location: Public or universities libraries and meeting rooms , Please email us in advance to receive the location details and coordinate your participation , online format via zoom

• Note: international participants from all around the world , Students, young people, and anyone interested or engaged in international law, international organizations, regional integration, peace, and conflict are especially welcome to join us online via Zoom.

• When: Every Sunday | 15:00 – 17:00

• Target Audience: Open to refugees, migrants, and everyone. Local Swiss residents are especially welcome to encourage social and cultural integration.

• Activities: Outdoor free exercise, jogging, walking, and light physical activity in open spaces.

• Objectives: Fostering cultural integration, practicing conversational German in a casual setting, staying active, and reducing social isolation.

Youth Empowerment & Career Workshops

• Department : Youth Empowerment and Migrants Integration Department 

• Duration: September 19 – November 21, 2026

• Time: Saturdays | 16:30 – 18:00

• Target Audience: Youth, migrants, and individuals receiving social welfare assistance of any age who are seeking financial independence. (Note: This workshop is specifically designed for those in need of financial and career integration support).

• Afghans who live in Afghanistan especially Afghan women are encouraged to join to this classes via zoom 

• Topics Covered:

  • Navigating the Swiss labor market 

  • finding educational or languge oppourtunaty for youth 

  • Writing European-standard CVs and cover letters

  • Essential computer and digital skills

  • Developing soft skills for professional environments

• Objectives: Fulfilling UYGC's Youth Empowerment mission by equipping participants with practical tools, digital literacy, and confidence to integrate into the Swiss workforce.
