I am delighted to have completed the London Summer Arbitration School 2026, held from 15 to 19 June 2026. The programme provided an exceptional opportunity to deepen my understanding of international arbitration and to engage with some of the most important legal and practical issues shaping the field today.

International arbitration continues to play a central role in the resolution of complex cross-border disputes, offering parties a sophisticated and flexible framework for resolving disagreements arising from international commercial transactions, investments, construction projects, and other cross-border activities. The programme offered valuable insights into both the theoretical foundations and practical dimensions of arbitration, from the formation and interpretation of arbitration agreements to questions of jurisdiction, admissibility, evidence, and the conduct of arbitral proceedings.

A particularly valuable part of the programme was the opportunity to examine the challenges that arise in complex disputes, including construction and commercial arbitration. Discussions on evidentiary issues, procedural strategy, and the role of tribunals highlighted the importance of balancing efficiency, due process, and fairness throughout the arbitral process.

The programme also provided an opportunity to explore the evolving landscape of dispute resolution. Digital dispute resolution and the increasing use of artificial intelligence in arbitration demonstrated how technological developments are influencing the way disputes may be managed, presented, and ultimately resolved. These developments also raise important questions concerning efficiency, transparency, confidentiality, due process, and the appropriate use of technology in arbitral proceedings.

Beyond the substantive discussions, one of the most rewarding aspects of the London Summer Arbitration School was the opportunity to exchange perspectives with distinguished practitioners, academics, and participants from different jurisdictions. International arbitration is inherently global, and engaging with individuals from diverse legal traditions reinforced the importance of comparative perspectives and cross-border dialogue in developing effective approaches to dispute resolution.

I am sincerely grateful to Arbitration Lab, Anna Petrig, Yarik Kryvoi, and all the distinguished speakers for sharing their expertise, experience, and perspectives throughout the programme. Their insights made this an intellectually stimulating and professionally valuable experience.

The London Summer Arbitration School 2026 has further strengthened my interest in international arbitration and my appreciation of its role in facilitating the effective and fair resolution of international disputes. I look forward to building on this experience, continuing to deepen my knowledge, and contributing to the evolving field of international dispute resolution.
